Djalu' Gurruwiwi is an elder of the Galpu clan of Northeast Arnhem Land, Australia. He is known throughout the world as a master player, teacher and craftsman of yidaki, or didjeridus. He was charged by his father to hold and pass on their clan's knowledge of the yidaki when he was young, and has held to it today, to about 70 years of age. He is one of the most important figures in the didjeridu scene. Get to know him!
