Didgeridoo Gallery

Two Unpainted Australian Didgeridoos

  1. While in Australia, our mission was to buy only instruments that showed obvious signs of being relatively traditionally made by Aboriginal people. This is the one exception, because Randy couldn't resist it. Affectionately nick-named "Giant Didge with a Boot," it's a big-bored, big-booted 6' Ab that plays like a higher instrument. To be fair, it could very well be Aboriginal-made, and was purchased at an Aboriginal gallery. It just ain't a traditionally made instrument, by a long shot.
  2. On the other side of the note spectrum, but about the same physical weight, is this high Gb from New South Wales. It's a perfect high wailer for playing ripping contemporary North East Arnhem Land riffs, with an easy, perfect octave trumpet note. I picked this one up at my first meeting with the boys from LA Outback. Hear this didgeridoo on the tracks "Fanfare" and "Wakal" on Randy's cd "Didgital."
